Happy Easter 2014

We had the best Easter Sunday!
Easter baskets filled with games, sand toys, and some new underwear.
Star Wars playing cards, the best toy!
My side of the family came over for the day to help celebrate.   Here are a few of the grand kids opening their eggs after the hunt.  It was a great day with beautiful weather, lots of fun, good food and family!
Evelyn & Joanna in matching Easter dresses.  So pretty!
Our beautiful 4 some!

Easter Acticities

Every holiday we try and do some memorable crafts, activities and lessons for fun and to learn the true meaning.  This year we did our "He Has Risen" sign for the front door, Resurrection  Eggs, egg hunt, Easter baskets, a Lenten devotional and more.
They all love to color.
Love all the colors.
Our Sign in the front door.
Max and I made an egg for another window as well.
Our dyed eggs which were quickly turned into deviled eggs.

Easter Egg Hunt

Pleasant Hill had their annual hunt this morning.  The boys made out like bandits.  But they really should call it an Easter free for all because candy is just thrown around the grass to pick up.  ;)

Girlie Girl

Here is our sweetie with her first toe nail polish and cute tutu.

Her brothers were excited for her.  They even helped blow them dry.  Sweetest thing ever.
Thanks Godmother Ashley.

Beep, beep

He figured it out and it is so cute seeing those feet go.

Maundy Thursday

We try hard to be intentional with our children so when it came to Holy Thursday what better way to demonstrate how Jesus washed the feet of his disciples then to do it ourselves.  Last night Ed read the story of the feet washing from Luke and then we talked about why Jesus did this (to show his love) and then we took turns washing everyone's feet.  It was great and I think we could see the gears turning in their heads of being servants to one another.  When you do a job or an action for someone you are showing that person  you love them (i.e. when you help set the table, get Joanna a toy, push someone on the swing, help a friend, cook supper) your actions show love.  Plus they thought it was fun!

Max washing Mommy's.
Emmeric taking care of his brothers.
Max set up our last supper.  Ed decided that Darth Vader was Judas.

This is our Max.  He can be so inventive just look at the picture.  He can be wild, crazy but also so sweet and loving.
