Week 5 flew by mostly because we were on vacation the beginning of the week. Sunday we did celebrate Father's Day and drove all the way to Kentucky. Monday we went to the Ark Encounter and Tuesday the Creation Museum. Wednesday, was spent driving all the way home. Eddie was off the rest of the week so Thursday was a catch up day on house things and chill time. Friday, Eddie got a hair cut, the Kids, Sarah and I did a two mile walk on a trail. It was super buggy! Saturday, Joanna attended Maggie's birthday party and we had supper with friends. When we got home that night it was late enough to catch some fireflies. It was a fun week, full of adventure!

Creation Museum
While we were in Kentucky we also went to the Creation Museum. It is a partner with the Ark Encounter. It takes you through the history of the earth as retold from the bible. They also have a petting zoo, playground and beautiful gardens. They kids thought the displays and dioramas were really cool and hopefully they all learned something.
Ark Encounter
Sunday, after church we left with our friends the Johnson's on a 10 hour drive to Kentucky to visit the Ark Encounter. It is a life size replica of Noah's ark. You can go in the ark and see how they might have stored the animals, food, water and all the things they needed to be on the ark for a very long time. It was amazing! The sheer size of it was incredible. The kids had a great time not only exploring the ark that was full of animal kinds, interactive exhibits, videos, bible relics and so much more but the grounds were full of beautiful gardens, petting zoo, playground and space to run. Everyone was a champ the over 5 hours we were there walking, reading and listening. It was truly amazing and something they will never forget.

Week 4:Summer
Week 4 was busy. After church on Sunday we stopped at the skate park, the kids had fun riding the scooters around on the ramps. Joanna and I took a walk on the travel and found some wild roses. Monday, we headed out with Wagners to pick strawberries. We got about 8 pounds. Monday night, Eddie surprised us and came home from Davenport for a few days. He had work to do at his office which was awesome for us. Tuesday, in the afternoon we went swimming. Wednesday, we went to the Arboretum with Sarah, beautiful as always and very quiet. Thursday, Joanna had her first riding lessons. She got new boots and was so excited. We met our cousins to do some swimming again. Friday we ran errands and had our traditional movie night.
