One month into summer and we have found a good groove at home. Sunday was Father's Day, we celebrated Eddie with handmade cards and time together. We got to see Bridget's Dad in the afternoon along with her brothers and family. Monday, Joanna attended a 4-H day camp with Oliver and Irene. She had fun doing science experiments all day. Solomon cam home with us for the day and Max went to Uncle Bart's for the day. The kids also got to pick out a box of cereal they wanted. We never do this so they thought it was great. Toby & Joanna started swimming lessons for the next two weeks. On Tuesday we saw Peter Rabbit 2 at the theaters with most of our cousins. After the library on Wednesday some good friends the Wagners & Van Clarks came over to swim. It was really great to catch up with them after all the Covid craziness.
At Wednesday night small group some child put a TON of dirt in the pool so mainly Eddie has spent the last several days trying to rid the pool so we don't have to drain and refill. Thursday, we spent the morning making things. Joanna made homemade lemonade, Toby brownies and Max coffee ice cream. All of them tasted really, really delicious. We also got to have lunch with Eddie at his office. The kids watered all the trees in the afternoon before Joanna went to tumbling. As a surprise Sarah spent the night. Friday, Sarah, the kids and I traveled to backbone for a little hiking, cave exploring and waterfall looking. It was very hot but the kids had a good time. Of course we had to stop and get a treat on the way home. Toby started intermediate Ninja class and leveled up to an orange band. Joanna went to an overnight birthday party that started at the pool Friday night and came home Saturday morning. Ed dropped another tree Saturday.
