Sled Run

Yesterday, we took advantage for our 10th snow day and headed over to Uncle Bart and Aunt Katie's to enjoy their sled run.  They worked 30+ hours to get this up and running and it is awesome.  The kids had so much fun going down. Hopefully we can go ride one more time before it gets too warm.

Color the Wind Kite Festival

Saturday, we loaded up with our snow gear and headed to Clear Lake.  We were among hundreds of people enjoying the annual kite festival.  It was amazing!  The kites were huge and colorful. The kids had a blast walking, slipping and sliding on the ice.  It was cold but no one minded.  This is definitely something we will be doing again!

Valentine's Day 2019

Ed and I, Valentine's for the last 12 years.  Even though we were separated the majority of the day my favorite part was laying next to you by the fire after all our littles went to bed and talking and laughing and falling asleep together!

Flannel day!

Snow Drift

Max and Toby tried to dig out some tunnels in this huge drift we had in front of the house.  By the time they came in they were both white with snow from head to toe.  

Toby is 7

 Our Toby is 7.  This kids is awesome, he has such a generous heart and fun going nature.  He loves to be with his siblings (Max especially), playing video games, snuggling, helping whenever he can and almost always has a ball in his hand.  Toby, we love you so much and know God something wonderful planned for you!

Your birthday was fairly low key but you didn't mind.  We started the day with a present from Mom and Dad, you requested crepes for breakfast complete with singing and a candle.  You received a few Happy Birthday phone calls. At school you are the person of the week and brought in treats.  You got to put together new Lego sets, play video games and just hang out as a family!  I hope you had a wonderful 7th birthday!

Birthday Party

Sunday, we celebrated two boys' birthdays.  They love having everyone over to just play, talk, eat and be together, this time was no exception.   They got so many fun presents, loved eating cake and ice cream and just enjoying the spotlight.  We love each of you boys and we are so glad we got to celebrate with you!

Robes

Emmeric got a robe for his birthday because he loves to be wrapped up in a blanket.  (He LOVES it) and Ed frequently puts his robe on at night.  They are so cute together!

Old Joanna

Here is our "old" Joanna complete with glasses and cane.  She had to dress up as a 100 year old lady for the 100th day of school.  

Sleepy Roman

Roman, inevitably crawls into bed with me every night.  He can be super sweet to lay with but he can also crowd you out.  The other night, Joanna and him slept together.  He drives me nuts but I love all those snuggles.  

Happy Birthday Emmeric

Emmeric is 11.  This kid is really awesome.  He has the best smiles, is energetic, loves video games, books and being with his family.  He can make us laugh, is always ready to play a game and enjoys cooking.  Emmeric is loving, fearless, silly and a good helper.  We love you so much Emmeric.

The day started off with one present from Mom and Dad, cinnamon roll breakfast, Ice Harvest and snow playing, lunch with Grandma Nancy and cousins, new Lego set bought with birthday money and then supper with Grandma & Grandpa Pavelec and Sarah.  He got to play video games, board games and just be with family.  

Ice Harvest Festival

Yesterday we went to Big Woods Lake to watch the ice harvest.  It was really interesting how they cut the ice and brought it up to the shore.  The kids had a blast playing in the snow and watching them harvest.
