Window marker drawings

The boys got Window Markers for Halloween so Max tried them out and made a fantastic drawing of a sun, clouds, blue sky, grass and a fish.

Max took this picture of his picture.  :)

Happy Halloween 2012

We were gone for Halloween but we still had the opportunity to put our costumes on and show them off a few times.  Sometimes it was a struggle to get them on but for the most part they like to dress up.

Eyes in the Night

Sunday Steve & Sherri came down to help with a few projects and take us to the Blank Park Zoo for "Eyes in the Night" fun.  We started by putting up a baby gate on the stairs.  Toby fell down them last week so I knew we had to have something permanent really soon.  Steve built one for us and installed it.  Then the Zoo was having trick or treating in the zoo.  It was really fun to walk through the zoo, collect candy and just hang out together.  Toby is a banana (it's a tradition), Max is a ghost and Emmeric is R2-D2.
 Papa the Elf.
Emmeric and the Ghost called Max.

I can even fit in the R2-D2 costume.

Our three pumpkins midst lots of pumpkins.

New Trees

Uncle Andy brought over two oak trees for us to plant in our backyard.  Friday he came over and brought everything we needed to get them in the ground.
 Digging the holes first.
Putting that little tree in the ground.
Uncle Andy & Max after they covered the tree roots and taped the tree to the bamboo stick.
Daddy bringing over the mulch to add around the trees.  Then we put a cage around them so they wouldn't get eaten by the bunnies.  Someday a long time from now they will be amazing and beautiful oak trees.

Gobble Gobble

A little early for Thanksgiving but it was too cute not to post.
And yes he did puke a little right before the picture.  :)

Pumpkin Carving

Last week we carved our pumpkins from Uncle Andy.  It was a messy experience but everyone enjoyed themselves.
Whole family getting into it.  I was the only one who was brave enough to stick my hand in the pumpkin and get all the goop out.
Max and I scooping and carving.
Doing what babies do best, find messes.
Max's happy Pumpkin with "lots" of teeth.  Toby's big winking pumpkin and Emmeric's "angry" pumpkin.

Extreme Leaf Jumping

We have a ridiculous amount of leaves in our front yard from two huge pin oak trees.  I have raked twice and I hate to say the trees haven't even dropped half their leaves.   Of course, after some hard working raking we needed to jump in them.  I backed up Ed's truck and the boys took turns jumping off the tailgate into the big pile.
 Getting all set up.
Emmeric was more than ready to jump.

Dad & Baby

This baby loves his Daddy.  He laid with him forever, sucking his thumb and playing with Daddy's ear!

Pumpkins

Yesterday we had some pumpkin fun.  We started by the traditional pounding of golf tees then we moved on to just pounding the pumpkin.
Dad starting out breaking open that pumpkin.
 Emmeric getting into it.
 Toby tasting said pumpkin.
Then we put it into the sensory bin where we pounded, pulled, smashed and just tore the pumpkin up.
The pumpkins the boys picked out at Uncle Andy's pumpkin patch.  I picked out Toby's, I think it's fitting for the third boy.  We will hopefully carve them sometime this week.

For my own memory...

I'm writing this for really no one but myself and my own memory for much later in my life but I'm more than happy to share my sweet moment.

Tonight I fed Toby his nightly bottle before bed, nothing different or out of the ordinary.  We went upstairs turned off the light and sat in the rocking chair.  He finished his bottle and instead of just laying him down, I rocked him.  I rocked MY Toby baby.  He snuggled into me, eyes half closed and I tickled his face.  I tickled his face like I can remember my own Mom tickling my face as a girl.  Ever so gentle only grazing his sweet, soft angel like face.  He gives me his crocked smile as I run my finger tips over his chubby cheeks.  Letting out a soft giggle and closing his eyes a little more.  I tickle him and touch him, I study his smile in the soft night light glow, I see his blue eyes slowly opening and closing and I try to store this memory forever because I don't know when the last time will be that I will feed him a bottle at night, rock him and caress his sweet face.  Whether it be that he hasn't gotten to big or that I just don't take the time and treasure it like I should.  I want to remember tonight for ever.
