Monday we went downtown to the Iowa Historical Museum. Emmeric had heard about in school. It was a really neat museum. It had a mammoth fossil that was found in D.M., exhibits about RAGBRAI, civil war, Iowan in Hollywood, coal mining and way more. All the kids enjoyed exploring, it is something I can't believe we had never been to considering it is free and 15 minutes from our home. Only downfall was getting a parking ticket.
Looks like a great place! Really like the woolly mammoth skeleton. I can see why Toby liked it. Pretty neat that those remains were found in Iowa. I bet Emmeric liked those rocks. And we will have to ask Max what he learned about the Civil War.
