EWALU

It was Roman's turn to head to EWALU this year and Eddie got to join him.  He had so much fun and had a lot of buddies in his main group.  They visited the Mississippi Riverboat museum, the Osborne center, they fished, canoed, tye-died, zip-lined, played games and just had the best times.  This is for sure one of their favorite elementary memories.
And of course all the senior counselors just thought Ed was the BEST.

Joanna is 13

Our girl turned 13!  Another teenager in the house.  She is a great girl: confident, funny, smart and spicy, beautiful and bold.  She loves all animals, crafting anything she can, reading a good book, anything with friends, baking, especially brownies, caring for little kids and so much more.

We know God has plans for you, Joanna! We pray you continue to grow closer to God, allow Him to direct your future and know that Dad and I will always be her for you.  We love you so much!

Last first day

My Max is headed off to Senior year.  Hard to believe, he was a boy that was so ready for school and challenges and friends.  It has been a joy to see him grow and mature over the years.  Wishing you all the best things this year, Max. Go and make some many memories and enjoy all the things this year will offer.

First day of School 2026-2027

Here we go again.  Max a SENIOR!  Toby a freshmen. Joanna 7th grade and Roman in 5th.  Excited to see what new things they get involved with and all the memories they will make.

Summer: Week 12

Hard to believe the final week of summer came and went.  We did so much this summer and soaked up as much together time as we could.  Max spent his final Sunday at Adventureland with some friends.  Joanna, Sarah and I went to the play Grease in CF.  We attended the Iowa State Fair on Wednesday seeing as much as we could in 5 hours before heading home for practices and more practices.  Roman volunteered for the first time at the Humane Society.  We had a few appointments, Emmeric worked some and Ed had to work the State Fair one day.  We did back to school night, Toby stayed at a friends house and so did Joanna.  Ed had the opportunity to hang out with Sam and Barney on Saturday while I attended a friend's wedding with my Mom and Dad.  The kids went out to supper with each other for the first time without parents.  It was a good week!  I am thankful for summer, the slower rhythms, the intentional time we spent together and the memories we made.  We are looking forward to the new school year and all the things that go with it.  Thank you Lord for blessing us with time and joy!
