Max is 17

Our Max is 17!  He is such a cool kid. He stays plenty busy with piano, trumpet, guitar, worship team, sports, hanging with friends and family.  You can find him reading books, casting a line, messing with his brothers or just hanging around.  He is super witty and sarcastic, pretty strong, a big button pusher with his brothers but also a pretty great brother too.

Max we love you and love watching you grow into a man. Continue to seek Jesus in all you do, try new things and love others!

Summer: Week 1

Week one of summer is upon us and it was really good.  We started the week with pet sitting for a friend. Luna, the puppy came to stay with us for two weeks.  She is very chill and a pretty sweet girl. Three kids started morning lifting at school.  Emmeric, Grandpa Dan and I traveled to Tama on Monday to see the "Big Boy" train on it's 250th anniversary ride. It was massive and really amazing to see. We had some doctor's appointment, had boba, iced coffee and ice cream treats.  Kids stayed the night at friends and some friends stayed here. They used the pool pass a few times and cooled off from the heat. Roman and Toby both had baseball games. We celebrated "National Donut Day" at Dunkin'.  Joanna and I accidentally matched.  Hoping for a bit more routine next week.

18th Anniversary

We celebrated 18 years.  It was a busy weekend with graduation parties, Ed traveling to Des Moines and the first weekend of summer.  We headed out Saturday evening for drinks and dessert.

We are blessed in so many ways and cant wait to see what the next year hold for us and our family.

Last day of School

They did it!  Last day of Junior, 8th grade, 6th grade and 4th grade.  Bring on SUMMER!

Roman is 10!

The baby of the family is 10!  Two whole hands, double digits!

Roman, you are amazing.  You're an awesome little brother, warm and caring, super funny, always wants to be a part of the action and just full of spirit.  You love any sport you can do, chasing/holding chickens, playing with your brothers, getting messy, snuggles and hugs and so much more.  He had a great day complete with pancake breakfast, track and field day at school, popsicles, a friend over after school, a baseball game (pitching 3 innings), and mini party at home.

We love you so much! We can't wait to see how you grow and change this coming year.  Keep learning, being a good friend and working hard in all you do!

Emmeric's Graduation

Emmeric did it!  Lots of hard work, challenges, obstacles and joys.  He graduated on Sunday, it was wonderful to see his smile and see all the teachers, staff and students would cheered him on.  We loved having our family over after graduation to celebrate Emmeric.  It takes a village and this kid has one of the best.  We love you, Emmeric and cannot wait to see where God is going to use you.

Band & Vocal

These kids had their last band and vocal concert of the year this week.  They each sounded so fantastic.

Mini-grad party

Emmeric had a mini grad party at school.  Teachers, para-educators, administration and student could stop in and wish them congratulations.  We are so appreciative of Mr. Joe Frost, Mrs. Bobbi Metcalf, Principal Taylor Anderson and all of the Denver staff who have helped Emmeric the last 4 years.  They made his high school experience positive and memorable.  Plus having a grad party with your two best friends was pretty great too.

Final day of school

Emmeric had his final school day on Tuesday!  From the first to the last it has been a journey.

Archery Nationals

Max was able to participate at the National Archery Invitational in Kentucky on May 7th.    They have 662 targets set up for bulleyes and over 200 for 3D.  The team did well and it was a great experience for him.
