Spring Break-Friday

Friday the morning was casual then we met all our cousins at the theatre of the movie Raya and the Last Dragon.  It was a good movie and fun to be back in the actual theatre.  After that we went to Bart and Katie's for hang out time and supper.  Joanna ended up spending the night there.  

Saturday, Toby had a basketball tournament in LaPorte City.  They din't win any games but I think they had fun playing together.  The big 3 picked out new bikes at the bike collective in the afternoon.  The evening everyone came over again for supper and time together.  Spring break was great but always goes fast.  

 

Spring Break-Thursday

Thursday, after Martin left and Emmeric came home we ventured to the Grout Museum.  We checked out the displays and grabbed an ice cream sundae.  They kids have been wanting to walk across the 5th street pedestrian bridge so we did that as well.   It's always nice to check out the Cedar River and get some fresh air.  

 

Spring Break-Wednesday

Wednesday we had a chill morning at home but then headed to Get Air in the afternoon.  The kids had a ton of fun bouncy and dodge balling.  We then picked up Martin to come over and stay the night.  Emmeric got to stay at Grandma & Grandpa Schmitz.  

 

Spring Break-Tuesday

Tuesday, we headed up to West Union and ate lunch and grabbed coffee and cookies.  We then traveled back for a game of bowling.  The kids loved it.  Ed and I also got to go out to eat for Martin's 15th birthday!  

 

Spring Break-Monday

Monday of spring break brought lots of cleaning around the house, Lego building, electronic playing, tea party at Grandma & Grandpa Schmitz.  We also helped take down wall paper for Grandma Nancy.  A few games including Apples to Apples which Dad won.

 

Hawaii Day

The Friday before Spring Break the kids had Hawaiian day at school.  So fun to dress up and think about warm.  

 

Fine Arts Night

Last week the middle school and high school had fine arts night.  Emmeric and Max both had art our in the lobby of the cyclone Center and Emmeric had his Pops Concert.  It always amazes me at the different art the teacher comes up with and the talent of so many students.  Emmeric's concert was full of Disney songs.  It was fun to listen and watch their performance.  

 

New Toys

 With the shed burning down we have started to purchase new things to replace our old things.  While I wouldn't wish this on anyone it has been fun to buy fun new things we can use for years to come.  Lots of new balls, nerf guns, scooters, bikes and so much more to make spring and summer even more enjoyable.  

Sled Run 2021

Before all the snow melted we went to Uncle Bart's house to try out his sled run.  As always it did not disappoint.  The kids had a blast going down again and again.  

 

Valentine's Day 2021

We decided to stay the night in Des Moines after baptism.  It was a lot of fun to just swim at the pool and hang out.  We celebrated Valentine's day by hitting a local coffee shop and doing church together.  We love all our little Valentines.  Ed & I are blessed to call them ours and each other husband and wife.
