Botanical Gardens

We went to toddler time at the botanical center again this month.  It was full of stories, lots of dancing, running around the center, checking out flowers, and a duck hunt.

Great Grandma Verdeen came down to meet Toby and hang out with us.  She took the time to read a lot of books to Emmeric & Max.  By the end they were both in her lap; they loved it and we hope she did too.

Tobias Steven

Our newest little man has arrived.  Tobias Steven!  He was born 02-11-2012.  He weighed in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. and is 20 1/4 in. long.  He is perfect, he has pretty brown and red hair and a little bruised face.  This time I had a really fast labor and delivery.  Saturday morning I woke up feeling good so as a family we went to story time at Barnes and Noble, a few stores and out to lunch.  We headed back to the house for naps and I sort have felt like baby could be born yet this weekend.  While the boys napped Eddie and I watched a movie.  At 4PM I started having contractions, about 7 minutes apart.  Then at 5PM they were 4 minutes apart.  My neighbor Alana and my Uncle Darrell and cousin Zoe came over to watch the boys.  Eddie and I headed to the hospital.  We got in a room just before 5:30PM.  The contractions were coming really fast and really strong, I was dilated to 9.5 cm and felt like I was ready to push.  There was no time for an epidural, even though I really wanted one.  At 6:33PM Tobias Steven arrived.  Because of how fast the labor was and how quickly he descended his face got really bruised.  

He has been a really good boy so far.  He's a great nurser, sleeper and cuddlier.  We are so grateful for a safe delivery and a healthy baby.  The big brothers were so excited to meet him.  They both had the opportunity to hold him and give him loves.  We can't wait to go home tomorrow and start our new adventure as a family of five!

Sensory Table

For Emmeric's birthday Papa Steve and Grandma Sherri made him (and Max) a sensory table.  It is a big hit at our house.  We will get so much use out of it in all types of weather.  We cannot wait to make and add new things to each tub.  Thanks Papa and Grandma.

They played with the bubbler for over an hour.  It will be a ton of fun when it turns warm outside.

Tumbling

The boys have been taking a tumbling class once a week at the local youth center.  It has been quite interesting for both of them.  They have been learning the basics of stretching, following directions and summer-saults.  They both have some trouble listening and following the teachers.  It has been a great learning experience and for the most part they really enjoy playing on the mats and running around.
