Roman is 7

Roman is 7!  We celebrated with pancakes in the morning and cake with the grandparents in the afternoon.  He is such a fun and loving boy.  He enjoys being really close to you and telling jokes.  He can be really sensitive and doesn't like to be left out.  Loves to be outside, riding bikes, climbing trees and in the pool.  Always wants a Chick-fil-a sandwich and some coffee in the morning.  We love you Roman, it has been a blessing to watch you grow.  Keep loving and following God.

Sergeant First Class

Saturday, May 20th Ed was promoted to Sergeant First Class.  It was a day he has worked really hard for. The kids and I were excited to be a part of the morning and help patch him.  All of his superiors said how hard he worked, what a family man he was and a hard-working solider.  Well deserved, SFC Pavelec.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.  Started by going to Cedar Rapids with two of my friends for an overnight with hot tub and shopping.  It was a good little get away.  We saw both of our Mom's.  The kids made me wonderful cards and little gifts.  I am a blessed Mama!

Soccer

These two had a successful soccer season.  They love running hard, bombing the ball and having fun with their friends!

May

May has been full of fun and outside activities.  We even got some chickens at our house.

Track

Emmeric & Max both finished up track at the beginning of the month.  High school track was a good learning experience for Emmeric.  He ran in the 100 and 200 mostly.  Max's first year of track went well.  He ended up really loving the hurdles, running mostly 100m hurdles, 200s and some 4x200.  I think they are both going to be out again next spring.

Max

Max competed in a piano recital at Wartburg on Saturday and then performed in the jazz band.  He had 2 solos and did a wonderful job.  He is growing up quickly, looking very handsome and turning into a really cool teenager!

Marriage Retreat

This past weekend Ed & I had the opportunity to attend a marriage retreat.  It was nice to get away, reconnect and hear some useful marriage tips.  Bonus we got to hang out with Andy & Whitney too.

Northern Lights

I checked off another bucket list item and saw the Northern lights in April.  My camera did a much better job of capturing them but with the naked eye we could see the ribbon and some of the light pillars.

April

April was filled with so much track, so much soccer and some fun in between.  We got 5 chickens as well.
