This week started out with an all cousin sleepover. All of them came to our house on Sunday night for relay races, sparklers, kick ball, movie on the barn, bonfire, s'mores, so many snack, 3 meals and lots of fun. This week was full of 4-H projects. Kids baking, sanding, cutting, and much more to be ready for turning them in on Monday! Max & Roman had doctors appointments. Roman had an allergic reaction to ripple milk so we spent a few hours in the ER Thursday night. Friday we went to the pool. Eddie had drill on Saturday. We had lots of play time, board games and electronic time. We are starting to think about school and supplies but as well as what we want to do fun for the rest of the summer.

ER visit
This guy headed to the ER Thursday night. After drinking Ripple milk (pea protein) he started to getting itchy. After giving a benadryl tablet he was starting to get hives and some swelling. He was also itching at his throat and drooling some. Knowing how quickly allergies can turn Mom took him down to the ER. He did get a shot of Epinephrine and a steroid because his throat was swollen. We then sat hooked up to the machines for just over 2 hours. He was madder than mad at getting the IV port and the epi shot. He is just fine now though.

Week 7: Summer
We had a fun week which started off with fireworks from Grandma Sherri & Papa Steve. The kids thought it was great. Eddie did a few experiments with the kids to teach them about catalyst. This eventually turned into a presentation for Toby at the Monday 4-H meeting. Monday night, Martin stayed the night. Wednesday, we went to the Reinbeck pool where everyone is getting more and more comfortable in the water. Thursday we were home, a storm blew through and knocked out power which turned into us building a big fort and lots of reading. We have begun a few 4-H projects for fair. Toby & Joanna learned how to do cat's cradle with a string and are fairly fast at it. Saturday, we got to see Andy, Whitney and Frankie and eat lunch and play. Ready for another week of fun!

Week 6: Summer
This week was busy! We seemed to have stuff every single day. It was the hottest week yet so everyday we did some type of water play. 3 kids got to stay the night at Grandparents also. Emmeric had both therapies this week. Max & Toby participated in an online play through the DM Theater. They both had to do multiple zooms each day, memorize lines and lyrics and upload videos. It was fun to see their personalities come out in each of their parts. Duplos were a huge hit this week, they were constantly building new things and being inventive. Sarah & I got our free parks passport T shirts for visiting three state parks. Joanna had riding lessons. We played musical chairs, had a talent show and put on a Newscast called "News, News". We celebrated the 4th of July with grill out/pool party at Grandma & Grandpa Schmitz's home complete with BIG fireworks that night. Everyone is exhausted.
