1 year ago today...

One year ago we moved into this home.  I can't hardly believe it has been a year since we've moved, unpacked and made Concord Drive our home.  I can remember all the anxiety, happiness and craziness from this post.  We haven't really done to much to the home in the form of updates but we have done a lot in terms of growing as a family.  We brought home a new baby to this house, had the same wonderful family and friends come visit and stay, we have had new friends over and I think have truly made this house a good home for us and our boys.  We have lots of dreams still and hopefully we will get around to them sooner than later.  But for now we are just enjoying each other and everything Pleasant Hill and Des Moines has to offer.

Toby has started pulling up and climbing stairs.  He's not even 8 months, I am not ready for this.

Toby Crawling

Toby has been army crawling for about a month now but over the weekend he really learned to crawl, up on all fours, crawling.  He even did one stair and pulled up on the couch.  He's pretty crazy!

Renaissance Fair

Sunday we went to the Renaissance Fair with Andy & Whitney.  No one had ever been except Eddie.  It was fun, there were lots of things for adults and kids to do.  It was neat to see the people dressed up and acting like they were in olden times.  We attended a puppet show, saw pirates, ax throwing, sword fighting, jousting, and just about everything else.  Andy and I threw knifes and stars, Ed threw a big ax, The big boys fought knights.  All in all it was a great afternoon.

At Artaplooza last week they had a musical petting zoo.  Obviously the boys had to try the instruments.  

 Emmeric made the trombone and trumpet go on the first try.  

Max really liked the violin.  He was pretty good at holding it and keeping it under his chin.

Emmeric's 1st day of school 2012

Emmeric started his 1st day of Pre-School this morning at Pleasant Hill Elementary.  He was so excited he had his backpack on 40 minutes before we were going to leave.  All of us including Eddie walked him to school and to his new classroom.  He hung up his backpack gave kisses and hugs to everyone and we left.  He has been more than ready to go to school for  a few months.  Even though he's only there 3 hours Max probably asked 40 times when were we going to pick Emmeric up.  I'm excited for the fun year he'll have and all the new things he will learn.

I have been putting Toby into containers lately to keep him from escaping.  His army crawling has made him almost unstoppable.  I throw in some toys or kitchen items and he loves it.  He'll end up staying in there for 15-20 minutes.
